An Accomplished Executive Leader

Edwin’s civic leadership has been equally impactful. As Chairman of the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, he has elevated the Chamber’s advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels. Under his leadership, the Chamber has advanced its mission to be the voice of business in Tampa Bay championing policies that improve how residents live, work, and play. He also initiated the Minority Empowerment Program and inaugural Leading Forward Leadership program, both aimed at developing the next generation of civic and business leaders dedicated to regional growth and inclusive prosperity.
In the nonprofit sector, Mr. Narain serves as Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay, where he lead the largest nonprofit merger in West Florida and Boys and Girls Club of America history, combining the Tampa Bay and Suncoast organizations. This strategic move will expand services and increase efficiency for youth programs across the Tampa Bay region.
Edwin also continues to make profound contributions to higher education as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Saint Leo University. He helped lead the university through a successful reaccreditation process and financial stabilization, introducing the "6 R Guidelines" as a framework for institutional renewal and positioning it for long-term success.
A respected public voice, Edwin regularly contributes thought leadership through op-eds in the Tampa Bay Times, most recently addressing nonprofit mergers and regional economic development. His achievements have earned him widespread recognition, including being named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal Power 100 and receiving the Francisco Rodriquez Award presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the improvement of the administration of justice as it impacts African Americans from the George Edgecomb Bar Association.
Edwin exemplifies servant leadership and strategic innovation. His work continues to shape public policy, strengthen regional institutions, and uplift communities across Florida.
